preventative-dental-care-and-general-dentistry-checklist At Vatan Dental Group, we provide preventative dental care to families throughout Los Angeles, CA and the 90045 area. If you are looking for a new general dentist, we invite you to call (310) 906-1300 and schedule an examination. We are different from many dentists in that we make ourselves available so you can ask questions whenever you need to. In fact, Dr. Vatan will even give you his email and cell phone number if you have a question after-hours! When it comes to providing high-quality dental care and amazing service, we cannot be beat. Preventative Dental Care We recommend that you visit our office twice a year for preventative dental care. This involves cleaning your teeth to remove plaque and tartar and examining them to look for signs of infection or cavities. We will also look at your wisdom teeth to make sure they are not impacted or becoming infected. Doing so on a regular basis allows us to reduce the likelihood that you will suffer from oral health problems. As a general dentist, we can also take steps to prevent cavities, which include applying fluoride to teeth in order to strengthen them and dental sealant in order to protect them. Dental sealant is brushed onto the chewing surfaces of the teeth so food cannot come in direct contact with them and plaque cannot build up. This is an ideal treatment for anyone with deep ridges and can help prevent infections and the need for future root canals or dental fillings. General Dentistry Checklist When you visit our 90045 general dentist office, we will do the following:
  • Examine your teeth.
  • Take x-rays or digital images.
  • Clean your teeth.
  • Look for signs of oral cancer.
  • Educate you on oral health matters.
  • Answer your questions.
At Vatan Dental Group, we believe in the importance of preventative dental care that includes education. By providing you with suggestions for healthy eating, showing you how to brush and floss properly, and discussing dental solutions, we can empower you to make good decisions every day. When combined with regular visits to our general dentist office, healthy habits can prevent cavities and infections along with the need for dental fillings or root canals. Talk to us: Dr. Vatan is approachable and welcoming. He wants to know about your health concerns and what you do not like about your smile, so he can help you. During your appointment, be sure to ask questions, even if they seem trivial. The more you communicate, the better we will be able to care for you. Another way we are different is that you can communicate with us outside of the office. Dr. Vatan is available via cell phone and email, so if you have a sudden toothache or your wisdom teeth are hurting, you can call and find out if you need to come in right away. Likewise, if you want to know how long a procedure will take, call or email us so we can provide you with whatever information you need. If you live in Los Angeles, CA or the 90045 area, we welcome you to schedule a consultation with our office. You can reach us at (310) 906-1300.
